Subjects Taught
Band, Music

My undergraduate studies started at Lower Columbia College, where I received my AA through the Running Start program.  After LCC, I attended Western Washington University and earned my Bachelor's of Arts in Music.  I continued post graduate studies at WWU to earn my teaching certification for music.

Since graduating from Western Washington University, I had been a substitute teacher for a number of districts throughout Washington.  In the 2015-16 school year, I spent my time in New Orleans, Louisiana, teaching k-2 music in an after school program and working as an elementary TA.  Since returning to the Pacific Northwest, I have had the pleasure of working with a number of groups and private students to increase and advance their musical abilities.  Now I serve as the Director of Bands and Choirs at Rainier Jr./Sr. High School.

I have lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, and enjoy the amenities it has to offer.  I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, and cooking.  Most of all, I enjoy making music with friends, colleagues, and students.  Occasionally, I play at local events with my funk band and in jazz combos.  I teach both middle and high school band and choir classes, with the addition of a 6th grade elementary band.
